Currently a lecturer in Human Nutrition within the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Ulster . Actively involved in research at the Northern Ireland Centre for Food and Health (NICHE) where she forms part of the 'Seychelles Child Development Nutrition Study' research group, investigating methylmercury toxicity. Awarded a PhD in Biomedical Sciences specialising in Immunology, Nutritional Biochemistry, Trace Elements, and Rheumatology from the University of Ulster at Coleraine (UUC). Obtained a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (UUC) and also a graduate of the Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science from the Galway/Mayo Institute of Technology, Ireland . Member of the Northern Ireland Lupus Research Group where she continues her research on the autoimmune condition of systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Other research interests include vitamin D, PUFAs and nutritional immunology. MAIN RESEARCH INTERESTS
